NHS contractor staff
The staff who deliver NHS healthcare are all ‘One Team’ – including outsourced staff employed by private NHS contractors.
Contractor staff deserve decent pay the same as their colleagues directly employed by the NHS. It’s time for a proper inflation-busting pay rise for all.
NHS pay award
Whether your employer is a contractor, a wholly owned subco or a social enterprise, you too are part of the ‘One Team’ that keeps our NHS running. Contractor staff deserve decent pay the same as their colleagues directly employed by the NHS.
As NHS contractors are not always covered by national agreements, the work to negotiate these equivalent terms and conditions is done on an individual employer basis. Some employers have formally agreed to mirror NHS pay and conditions, and if yours does, your branch will be able to tell you exactly what's happening with your employer.
If your employer does not mirror NHS pay and conditions, the work to negotiate or campaign for the equivalent terms and conditions is done on an individual employer basis. But whichever contractor you work for, UNISON will continue to place pressure on government for better terms and conditions, and for pay increases offered to staff directly employed by the NHS to also be applied to private contractors.
